I am located at Dapto NSW just south of Wollongong
While growing up I always had one tank with either gold fish ,koi , small tropical's and even had Barramundi, Bass and a Murray Cod.
But I've been into the cichlids for a good 15 years now, I started off with one show tank with only males.
The breeding side of the hobby all started when I brought a female convict to pair up with the male that I had, and one week later my first batch of fish fry, over 100 baby's and it was amazing to watch the parents defend them from all the other fish in the tank.
That was the moment I fell in love with the cichlids and 15 tanks later I haven't looked back.
